day nursery & discovery play

Offering the very highest standards of care in a bright, exciting, lively environment where a child can grow and develop in an atmosphere of warmth and security.

We know that choosing your child's early years care is one of the most difficult decisions facing parents and carers, so our mission is to establish georgie porgies as the first choice for anyone seeking the best development opportunities for their children.

Located just off J1 of the M67 in Denton, georgie porgies is within easy reach of Stockport, Ashton and Hyde, so why not call 0161 320 1616 for an informal chat with our manager, Cath Wood, to discuss your child's needs and arrange a visit to our facilities?

working in partnership

We understand very well that effective communication with parents or carers is crucial in creating a productive three-way relationship.

When a child joins us, we like to gain as much knowledge about them as possible so that we can help them settle quickly and make the experience even more enjoyable.

We also operate an open door policy...   welcoming parents and carers to visit, spend time with their children and discuss any concerns or issues with our staff.

Parents should contact the Nursery to see what places are available (either now or in the future), then download an application form and return it to georgie porgies along with the appropriate deposit.

our care staff

Our stringent recruitment and selection process includes DBS clearance through OFSTED, ensuring that everyone involved in the care of your child is: safe, dedicated, caring and loving, well trained, suitably qualified and extremely competent.

Our nursery Manager, Melanie Kirk, is a Senior Nursery Educator with over 24 years experience whilst Claire Dulson, her very able Deputy Nursery Manager, brings over 12 years of experience in child care to the team.

All nursery nurses at georgie porgies are qualified to NVQ level 3 standard or equivalent and several staff are trained to degree standard.
